Lyme fights back

Whitman has been very nauseated the last several days with worsening symptoms and pain. The doctors are so reassuring and tell us that the Lyme is fighting back and this is to be expected. He was too sick for hyperthermia treatment yesterday and instead of pushing him, they re-routed his entire day and did therapies and treatments that would help his nausea instead of increasing it. I, for one, am very thankful that we don’t have to make these decisions alone and “play doctor” anymore but rather trust the experts who care for Lyme patients day in and day out. Whitman was up sick most of last night as well and so once again the doctor on the floor and Whitman’s nurse revamped and changed a few things to treat Whitman as the little individual that he is. And when I needed a caffeine jolt, his nurse quickly ordered a coffee for me and helped me count my pesos, “with pleasure.” This clinic is truly the “Chick-Fil-A” of healthcare 😉 a little visit from daddy and big brother (who was too cool for a pic) made Whitman smile at the end of his treatments today. 💚
